| Clubs at SIMC, Bangalore |
SIMC, Bangalore, in order to provide its students with the much needed industrial and practical exposure, has in its very first year, formed clubs in photography, advertising, literature, theatre, PR & Events, etc., catering to different media fields.
Photography Club
F-Stop is the photography and Adventure club that organizes photography competitions and exhibitions frequently.
This club allows the members to communicate with the who’s who of photography in Bangalore and around.
AD-Riot
AD-Riot, the advertising club organizes print and audiovisual ad making competitions.
Activities include strategizing for real-world clients: destination branding, repositioning strategies, advertising, etc., is managed by this club.
Literati
Literati, the debate and literary club organizes various activities off and on, in and around the campus. This makes the SIMCians interact with other colleges too and in the process provides a lot of knowledge and exposure interchange.
Pratibimbh: The Theatre Club

Pratibimbh- the theatre club of SIMC have been exposed to the leading theatre artists and groups from Bangalore who mentors the art of theatre through workshops and visits.
PR And Events Club
The objective of the club is to make the PR and Events club a platform for the batch to learn, communicate, co-ordinate and with time embed their DNA with real experiences and emerge into a competitive Media professional. Activities include Role play, Crisis management and Event preparations. Also Seminars from experienced professionals of the PR industry are conducted.
Quizza
Quizza is the most active club of SIMC Bangalore. Every week it organises conpetitions for the students for general awareness. The students are benefiited as they are kept well informed about the happenings and changes in and around the globe. The club also has participated in various inter-college contests and have performed remarkably well.
Saturdays@SIMC
Saturdays@SIMC is a venture undertaken to make industrial visits at SIMC Bangalore more interesting. Every Saturday the club organizes an interactive session with industry professionals and discusses current trends, issues and themes in the world of Media and Communication.
Movie Clubs
Acclaimed movies, documentaries and docu-dramas are shown frequently as part of club activities to the students by the movie club. Students actively participate in discussions and debate about the movie and analyses it with the critical bent of mind. |
