Bengaluru (formerly Bangalore) is the capital city of the Indian State of Karnataka. Located on the Deccan Plateau in the southern part of India, it is the hub of commerce, culture, coffee & cinema and is popularly known as the ‘Silicon Valley of India’ due to the large number of IT and ITeS companies which have established their Footprints here. It also has a sobriquet as ‘The Garden City’ due to large presence of Gardens and Parks in the city. Bengaluru has a pleasant climate all throughout the year and is a much sought after tourist and investment destination.
Bengaluru is a true cosmopolitan city – a mix of various cultures and a fast growing metropolis with a mix of Public Sector Giants like ISRO, HAL, BHEL, NAL; Corporate Behemoths like Infosys & Wipro; Defence Establishments like MEG, The cream of Educational & Healthcare Institutions like NLSIU, IIM-B, IISC, NIMHANS and a variety of other factors which put Bengaluru on the world map.
A magnificent edifice beckons just as one take a detour from the Hosur Road Highway. Symbiosis Institute of Media & Communication is located at the heart of the IT & Software hub – The Electronics City which is approximately a half-hour drive from the city centre. This central location has close proximity with Software Icons like Infosys, Wipro, HCL, HP and a host of others.
