Final Admission Update |
|
|
As mentioned in all our previous updates, our target has been to wrap up our admission process by April 30th 2011. We are happy to share with you that apart from future admission offers made against cancellations, we have now closed the admission process for Batch 2011-13, for both MBA and MMC streams.
We are publishing the preferred wait list (open category) and preferred wait list (Reserved category) as a PDF file so that candidates can understand for themselves where they stand and estimate their chance for gaining admissions at SIMC. Cancellations are difficult to predict and we cannot give any exact detail for those on our preferred wait list. But we would like to assure you that being on this list is a positive indication of our interest in you.
For those who have not been contacted by the admission office so far(below the cutoff : MBA: 58.65 and MMC: 48.60) we would like to mention that we may get in touch with you if and only after the preferred wait list has been exhausted. This may take some time and we are once again not in a position to quantify this time. As stated in our earlier update, pl go for admissions in hand now. In case seats do open up, we will contacts individuals by rank on the merit list with an offer of admission and you may then consider whether to join SIMC or not at that point of time.
We thank you all for your support and patience. It was an intense last few months for all of us here at the admissions office but it was well worth the effort as we are proud to have a talented pool of students join us this year. We believe that we have had the lowest acceptance rate among all comparable colleges and we do hope that the incoming 2011-13 will be a "batch with a difference".
